The company Kyuzan (headquartered in Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, Representative Director Takumi Takahashi) that develops NFT games and NFT platform "Mint" announced that they have added support for Layer 2 Polygon and BSC (Binance Smart Chain) on their NFT platform "Mint" for IP, top creators, and high-end brands. This was done in response to environmental issues and the problem of transaction speed and cost.

Starting June 11 (Friday) as a case study for Polygon-supported NFT, Rhizomatiks, which operates the NFT construction service "Mint", introduced the sale of the world-famous artist "Perfume"'s first NFT art, "Imaginary Museum "Time Warp"" on the CryptoArt sales site "NFT-Experiment" (※1).

The smart contract platform "Ethereum," which is the backbone of the system for circulating NFT, has seen a significant increase in transaction issuances due to the appreciation of Ethereum (ETH), the cryptocurrency used therein, and the spread of DeFi (Decentralized Finance), resulting in a rise in GAS fees (transaction fees).

Therefore, scaling technologies such as sidechains and layer 2 solutions that can issue transactions at a low GAS fee are gaining attention to solve this problem. Of these solutions, one of the most notable is Polygon (formerly Matic Network), a sidechain and layer 2 solution that has been well designed as a platform for scaling and infrastructure development for Ethereum and is easy to use.

Kyuzan has been supporting Polygon since April for their NFT game "EGGRYPTO" with over 300,000 members, but this integration with Mint is a significant milestone. They have also added support for BSC (Binance Smart Chain) and are considering support for Flow, which is popular overseas. Such efforts are based on Kyuzan's blockchain development technology they have been accumulated for years.
